Cat’s Climbers is St. Catherine/St. Monica Upper Elementary Youth Ministry.
Our mission is Leading 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Youth closer to Christ – and getting them excited about The EDGE.
Cat’s Climbers is Youth Ministry for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Youth Ministry on this level, like The EDGE, is focused on Formation and Fellowship with an even greater emphasis on Fellowship. Our parish family has children attending about 18 different elementary schools in the greater Kalamazoo area. Many of the Cat’s Climbers activities are built around forming or strengthening relationships with each other with Jesus as the common link.
Why is Cat’s Climbers the name of this ministry?
Cat’s is from St. Catherine and Climbers is what they are doing – climbing to The EDGE!
During the 2008-2009 school year Cat’s Climbers would meet for their monthly gathering at 12:30 P.M. on the last Sunday of each month. This will also be the format this year. There will also be some special get togethers and outreach opportunities scattered throughout the year. Last year we had a Thanksgiving Feast, a Halloween fashion show, day outings at both Bounceland and Jungle Joe’s, and we took a bus-load of Climbers and EDGErs to see High School Musical 3 the day it came to town. This summer we had our second annual Cat’s Climbers Summertime Blues Retreat while the younger Siblings and friends has Vacation Bible School.
