High School Students: There are two class offerings to give high school students the opportunity to continue their religious education.

 Confirmation Preparation for students in grades 9 – 12.  This preparation meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays ( 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.) between Sept. 21 and March 29.

Understanding the Catechism: two 9 week sessions; Sundays from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. – for students who have been confirmed.

            Topic 1 – The Creed (Sept. 28-Dec. 7)

            Topic 2 – Morality (Jan. 4 – Mar 15) – registrations accepted beginning Nov. 2008.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church is more than 700 pages in its English translation.  As a result, the Catechism itself encourages us to adapt it.  The Creed and Morality are two parts of a four part series written especially for high school students on the Catechism. The other two parts, Liturgy and Sacraments and Prayer will be addressed during the 2009-2010 school year.

Students may take both or just one of the topics as their schedule allows.  Call Paula in the religious education office to register.
