Do we willingly take up our crosses to build His Kingdom here on earth? Do we see God in even the most difficult to love? It is not an easy task in this busy and secular world. But it helps to always remember those words: “God so loved the world…”
Next weekend, our St. Catherine priests will be celebrating our priesthood anniversaries. We will gather to celebrate as a group at the 11 am Mass, and then proceed to Marian Hall for a reception. This will also be our chance to say farewell to Fr. Ben, his final weekend at the parish will be on June 18.
You may have heard the news that we have a Bishop-Elect. The Holy Father accepted Bishop Bradley’s retirement this past week. Bishop-Elect Edward M. Lohse will be consecrated on July 25, 2023 as our new Bishop of Kalamazoo.
Jesus' words to the Disciples two thousand years ago are given to us today. We have the same mission that they did; spread the Gospel to the entire world.
All daily Masses, except for Saturday, will be held in the main church in anticipation of increased attendance. Additionally, Fr. Benedict will be available for any emergency anointings.
Jesus gave us the Spirit in order to help us love Him and follow Him. How cool is it that God has given us everything we need to know Him and love Him? Are we willing to take the time and make the effort to allow the Spirit to work in, and through, us?
